Master of Couture – Azzedine Alaïa at Sven-Harrys konstmuseum marked the first presentation of the designer’s work in the Nordics. In collaboration with the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation, forty garments were selected to reflect the sculptural precision and timeless quality of his couture.

The exhibition design was conceived with deliberate restraint. A few strong visual elements define the spatial experience, allowing each silhouette to remain in focus. Mannequins designed by Alaïa himself are positioned within a minimal architectural framework. A strict grid alignment system and controlled lighting help group the garments into a coherent narrative.
