Massproductions — SFF2020
Stockholm, Sweden

Atelier Paul Vaugoyeau in collaborations with Julien Renault design a modular fair stand concept for Massproductions.

More than 90 prefabricated plaster tiles are arranged to form an exhibition stand for furniture brand Massproductions. The installation's modular structure makes it easily transportable and adaptable to a new environment so that, after its stint at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, it can be reused at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York.

The neutral yet radical stand is made in a monochrome tone. For the walls, stucco paint is used, which creates a rough structure catching well the light. Linear lights in a simple overlapping grid pattern, reveal the texture and architecture giving the stand a slightly warm light.

The stand is designed based on a 120 centimeter by 120 centimeter grid and every part of the stand is keeping with that constraint. The proportions were specifically chosen because they minimize offcuts and make a lot of sense for transport. They fit in the crates used by Massproductions. And aesthetically, the grid also makes the placement of items in on the stand quite rational.
